A little about us...
Steve Venables
Steve has worked in the pest control industry for 23 years. Having received his bachelors degree in Community Health Education, Steve has always embraced the method of Integrated Pest Management. He has served on many committees to develop and raise the standards within the pest control and pest inspection fields.
Marsha Venables
Marsha has played a role in the business since it first opened: from performing all of the main office duties 20+ years ago to now coming in to help once a week. However, Mrs. Venables’ primary job is as a 2nd grade teacher at Pioneer Elementary School.
Bret
Length of time at VPM: 8 yrs
Area of Expertise: wood destroying insects. Bret enjoys taking on the role of a detective and solving difficult pest situations.
Hobbies and other interesting facts: Prior to working at Venables Pest, Bret worked in golf course maintenance. He enjoys being outdoors hunting or fishing.
Bridger

Cameron
Length of time in the Pest Control Industry: 3 years

Hobbies and other interesting facts: Cameron recently moved to Olympia to pursue more educational opportunities and is currently a student at South Puget Sound Community College. He plays a plethora of musical instruments.
Jeff

Hobbies and other interesting facts: Jeff is a graduate from The Evergreen State College. Outside of work, he enjoys writing music, reading, being with his kids, board games, volunteering at his kids' school, and BBQs.
Juliana

Area of Expertise: Management of office operations
Hobbies and other interesting facts: After graduating from Western Washington University with a degree in Business Administration, Juliana joined her family’s business to put her new-learned skills to work. Outside of work, she enjoys training and competing with her dog (Maurice) and co-leading the Diamonds in the Ruff Dog 4-H Club.
Karen

Paul

Hobbies and other interesting facts: Like all of us Venables, Paul has performed a variety of roles at VPM through his high school and college years. After graduating from The Evergreen State College, he left to work as a financial advisor for a local business development firm. We are now thrilled that he has decided to join us again. Welcome back, Paul!
Mike

Hobbies and other interesting facts: During the school year, Mike works as a teacher. When he’s not in the classroom or working in the pest control field, he enjoys doing woodworking. In fact, often times you can see his work at many craft shows around the Olympia area.

Hobbies and other interesting facts: Prior to working at VPM, Steve worked as a Commissioned Executive for the Boy Scouts of America. Steve received his bachelors degree from The Evergreen State College and enjoys snowboarding and running.
